How we count
The terms in your quote
Plain definitions, so the quote and the invoice say the same thing.
Cluster
Any Kubernetes cluster running the KubeOn agent, in any cloud or data center. Clusters that appear in the bill without an agent are shown but not counted.
Monitored node
A node seen by an agent during the billing period, measured as the average number running at once, so autoscaling spikes do not inflate it.
History
How far back allocation, billing and reports are kept in the hub. Every edition backfills 180 days of billing on first connect.
User
A person who signs in to KubeOn. People who only receive scheduled reports or alerts are not counted.

Pricing questions
Billing and contracts
Pricing depends on fleet size, deployment model and support level, so we quote each edition for your environment. A quote usually takes one business day after a short call.
Deployment
No. Self-hosted and KubeOn Cloud hubs use the same editions. Self-hosted hubs run on your infrastructure, so you pay your provider for the resources they use.
Data and security
The number of clusters and nodes, the clouds and data centers involved, and how you want to host the hub. No billing data is needed for a quote.
Trials and evaluation
Yes. An evaluation runs on your clusters and your billing data, with an engineer to help connect billing and review the first allocations.
